Help Save Niles
Niles was rescued on Wednesday, February 15th from East St. Louis. A neighbor on the feeding route notified us that he was injured and lethargic, unable to get up.
We took Niles to Hillside where we discovered that he had been in a fight with one or several other dogs and was injured pretty severely - he almost didn't make it through the first night.
We then had him transferred to VSS so he could be watched 24/7 and his vet bills there are $2,500 and racking up at $300-$400 per day because heâ??s on everything injectable including a feeding tube. He nibbled a bit of food yesterday but not enough to regain strength. They hope that in the next few days for him to be eating without it and can do oral meds. That will cut down significantly. The good news he is progressing!
The bad news is, that $2,500 doesnâ??t include the $1,000 from Hillside, future TVT chemo or heartworm treatment. Please make a donation to help us with Niles!
